Drop Box and Vote Early Messaging
When it comes to messaging to help voters return their mail ballot on time, consistency, clarity and simplicity are key.
Encourage voters to vote early, regardless of the method. For anyone voting by mail, voting early means returning their marked ballot as soon as possible.
And with new postmark guidance from USPS, any voter returning their ballot the last week before Election Day should use a drop box. By choosing a drop box over a blue USPS mailbox that last week — so after October 27, 2026, for the 2026 general election — voters can be sure their vote counts.
The templates below use consistent, clear, simple messaging and graphics to encourage voters to vote early and use a drop box.
Download, add your office’s seal or logo, include any needed dates, and they’re ready to print or post. Some materials are already set up for the 2026 general election. Others are ready to be customized for primary or local elections. Click download and then right-click on graphics to save them.
