With 2026 Midterm Preparation Underway, The Elections Group Highlights Support for the Elections Community
SALT LAKE CITY (May 6, 2026) — As jurisdictions across the country prepare for the 2026 midterm elections, The Elections Group (TEG) is highlighting the support it provides to election offices and election professionals working to plan, operate and improve elections.
“Election preparation starts long before ballots are cast,” said Jennifer Morrell, Founder and CEO of The Elections Group. “Election offices are managing staffing, training, planning, operations and public-facing responsibilities months in advance. Our role is to provide practical support that helps election professionals do their jobs effectively and with confidence.”
The Elections Group is a nonpartisan organization with firsthand experience in elections operations, offering practical support grounded in the realities of running elections. Its work is designed to help election professionals strengthen readiness and operations, support staff and navigate the growing complexity of election administration before, during and after Election Day.
TEG’s support is organized across four core areas:
- Election Staff Training and Readiness: Training, facilitation and professional development designed for election officials and office teams.
- Tools, Templates and Practical Guidance: Resources, templates and guides election offices can use immediately to support day-to-day operations.
- Direct Election Office Support: Hands-on support for election offices navigating high-demand periods, planning, operations and transitions in accordance with state election laws.
- Operational Reviews and Improvement: Reviews, assessments and practical recommendations to strengthen election office processes, readiness and execution.
Since its founding in 2020, The Elections Group has worked with state and local election jurisdictions, county clerks and recorders, election professionals and state-level associations as well as pro-democracy organizations that support election administration. Today’s announcement comes as the elections community is already planning and preparing for 2026, including staffing, process refinement, training, contingency planning and operational readiness.
“Our focus is unwavering: to help election offices and election professionals do their jobs well,” said Morrell. “That means providing support that is practical, grounded and useful in the real-world conditions election offices are working in.”
