Internships, Fellowships, Oh My: Developing Pipelines Into the Election Profession

How do we inspire the next generation of election professionals?

From internships to fellowships to innovative academic partnerships, a growing number of programs are helping people find their way into the field of election administration. These initiatives not only build awareness of the profession, but also create opportunities for new talent to gain hands-on experience while helping fill staffing shortages in election offices and, in some cases, launch a career in election administration.

Join the Bipartisan Policy Center and The Elections Group at 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 20, for a discussion of findings from BPC and TEG’s new report on the Arizona Fellows in Election Administration program and future considerations for programs like these to successfully develop a talent pipeline into the election field. We’ll summarize findings from BPC and TEG’s new report on the Arizona Fellows in Election Administration program and spotlight how programs like these develop pipelines into the election field.
