Election Resource Roundup – Week 5

In preparation for the 2024 Presidential Election, The Elections Group is teaming up with experts in the industry to highlight resources for election administrators. This weekly series will showcase resources from The Elections Group, paired with resources from other organizations in the elections space. Every four weeks, we will focus on a different topic, and we’ll take a deeper dive into the resources available each week. Whether you’re a seasoned elections administrator looking for resources in the field, or if you’re new to the role, these maximum 30-minute sessions will be a quick introduction to resources curated for you.

The July 15 Resource Roundup featured The Election Group’s Using a Video to Tell a Story and The Center for Tech and Civic Life’s Communicating Trusted Election Information series.

TEG’s Using a Video to Tell a Story is a guide for creating short videos for your election website or social media. Videos are ideal tools to illustrate your elections processes. Short videos, ranging from 30-45 seconds, are sufficient to demonstrate a process, highlight voting options, or report your progress in counting ballots.

CTCL’s Communicating Trusted Election Information Series is a six-part series created in collaboration with the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS). The first of three courses cover best practices in election websites, social media, and accessible communications. The fourth course introduces how your election office can identify and combat misinformation. The fifth and sixth courses highlight two more audiences that need accurate election information: public officials and the media.
