Poll workers are the faces at the forefront of Election Day. They are the ones interacting with voters, answering questions, solving problems, and ensuring every voter is able to cast their ballot. It is not an easy job, as poll workers face long days and sometimes difficult situations. Poll worker recruitment is a crucial element of the election preparation process, and many election officials have implemented programs to encourage more voters to sign up to be poll workers and to ensure there is a large pool of qualified and well trained individuals to staff the polls on Election Day.
