In preparation for the 2024 Presidential Election, The Elections Group is teaming up with experts in the industry to highlight resources for election administrators. This weekly series will showcase resources from The Elections Group, paired with resources from other organizations in the elections space. Every four weeks, we will focus on a different topic, and we’ll take a deeper dive into the resources available each week. The October 28 Resource Roundup featured The Election Group’s guide, Election Security in a Time of Disturbance and The Committee for Safe and Secure Election’s 5 Steps to Safer Elections.

The Election Group’s guide, Election Security in a Time of Disturbance, is designed to help election administrators tackle rising threats to election security. It offers practical advice on protecting infrastructure, managing risks, and maintaining public trust amidst political unrest and misinformation. The guide outlines steps for enhancing physical security, forming strong partnerships with law enforcement, and addressing potential cyber vulnerabilities. Administrators can learn how to mitigate threats to polling places, staff, and election systems, ensuring a resilient and transparent election process.

The Committee for Safe and Secure Elections (CSSE) released this 5-step guide for law enforcement and election officials to help protect voters and election officials from violence. A collaborative approach creates a path to increased security for election officials and our democracy. This resource suggests five essential actions that election officials and law enforcement should take together to improve security.
