Creating and Implementing Standard Operating Procedures for Election Offices

Join The Elections Group, the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence, and the Center for Tech and Civic Life from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET on August 27 and 28 for a two-part virtual workshop designed exclusively for election administrators. This hands-on series will focus on the nuts and bolts of Writing and Implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to strengthen consistency, training, and overall election office operations. The goal is for you to complete the workshop with an updated SOP or have made major progress.

Day 1 will guide participants through practical strategies for writing effective SOPs, with expert facilitation from The Elections Group. Day 2 will center on implementation, offering time for real-time peer review and feedback and shared learning from fellow election officials.

Participants will be given a short “homework” assignment between sessions to apply what they’ve learned and prepare materials for group feedback. Registration is open only to current election administrators.
