Governing: A Movement to Help Embattled and Stressed Election Workers
“A lot of them are looking at 2024 and thinking, “I’m still kind of a mess from the last three years,’ says Tina Barton, who ran elections as city clerk for Rochester Hills, Michigan for nearly a decade. ‘We’re anticipating an extremely volatile election cycle, and for many it seems like a really high mountain to climb.’
Barton now serves as senior election expert for The Elections Group and on the Committee for Safe and Secure Elections (CSSE). She’s working with others to reduce the toll of stress on election departments and workers by providing resources to foster mental wellness and resilience.”
